A Merry Meathead Meetup in Denver, Colorado

Meathead Meetup Denver, Colorado

I have met some really awesome people (online creeper, I know but hear me out) that culminated in a 4 day meathead meetup in Denver, Colorado. I started my fitness accountability on Instagram and what started as a gym selfie here and there (or everywhere #noshame) has turned into something more. I connected with some inspiring, badass babes that turned into real life friendships. You are probably sick of hearing me preach about my gram’ friendships but they are kind of frickin’ amazing and I’m a person that counts ones’ blessings. Confession: We survived 6 girls + 4 days + […]

10 Gym Bag Essentials

Gym Bag Essentials

Confession: My gym bag is part full of hot mess, part full of gym bag essentials. I’ve blogged about gym bag essentials before but it’s been a hot minute and I want to share an updated list as I’ve lived and learned. My must have gym bag essentials get used on the daily to ensure a successful gym trip. This post contains affiliate links of things I love. I may earn a small commission for my endorsement and link to any products or services from this post. Without further adieu: 1. Sorry, Not Sorry

Sorry, not sorry

Confession: I quit saying sorry for 30 days and this is what happened. If someone bumps into me I am the person that quickly apologizes. My boyfriend has called me out on saying “sorry” too much. A friend recently reminded me that to live fearlessly outside my comfort zone I need to stop apologizing for being me ( @courtneykelo is so wise). So I challenged myself to quit saying “I’m sorry” for 30 days and here is what happened. We apologize over 2,900 times a year. That breaks down to about 56 apologizes every week and 8 “I’m sorry’s” every day. […]

How To Function Without Coffee

How To Function Without Coffee

Confession: I despise coffee. There, I said it. I function without coffee all day, every day 24/7/365 and I’m here, living and breathing to tell the tale. Gasp! Not a pop drinker either (yes, this Iowa kid calls it pop). I recently wrote about my morning habits here and it doesn’t include coffee. I have tried every offer of a coffee, latte, macchiato, frozen thing, and in east coast time zone desperation, a regular black office coffee doused in milk and creamer and I have never fell in love or even in like with any cup of joe. While I […]

5 Habits of a Morning Gym Goer

Gym Habits

Confession: I Am Not A Morning Person My morning gym habits took a while to develop. A long while. If you asked my mom about her middle child waking up on the regular at 5:30am she would laugh. Hard. Growing up sleeping in was standard for me. We’re talking about a noon time sleep in. Sometimes 2:00 pm not uncommon (high school was apparently exhausting). I still don’t consider myself a morning person but my sleep in tendencies only lean towards 9:00 am these days and I do wake up almost every weekday to hit the gym before work. It took a […]

6 Gym Pet Peeves

Gym Pet Peeves

Confession: I Have Gym Pet Peeves I love my gym. I really do. It’s home turf and I love the people there. But there are some gym pet peeves that leave me shaking my head (and cussing under my breath). I do commend each and every person there putting in the work and try my hardest to smile and encourage, but when I’m struggling to overcome my morning zombie mode there are a few things I could do without. 1. A Bit Much Cologne or Perfume Let me preface by telling you about my terrible sense of smell. A blessing and a curse. I […]
